The John Berends Implements TH30 Heavy Duty Linkage Tandem Discs plough is designed for Australia’s tough conditions and is one of the strongest linkage disc ploughs on the market. It’s ideal for vineyard, orchards and horticulture. Its heavy weighted gangs provide excellent digging ability, while its twin spring loaded pressure screws prevent damage in rocky or undulating conditions. Solid cast spools, individually machined, provide all the weight in the gangs rather than in the frame (which can add load to the bearings). The John Berends Implements TH30 Heavy Duty Linkage Tandem Discs plough uses 550mm (22″) diameter x 5mm thick discs at 9″ spacing. A buster tine removes the centre ridge to create a level soil finish. Prong scrapers are also an option, and are available for all models. John Berends Disc Ploughs are made in Australia, and fitted with long wear European Bollota Boron steel discs. Bellota Boron steel discs are manufactured under strict quality specifications that ensure correct hardness and uniformity throughout the disc. This includes clamp hardening to prevent distortion, lathe turning of the edges and hardening to 50HRc for low wear and long life. A note on Gibbins Rawling – In 1986, John Berends Implements brought Gibbins-Rawling. By taking on the Gibbins Rawling range, John Berends could offer a quality range of discs that had a long and respectable history with Australian farmers. The Gibbins Rawlings name and colours were kept until 1998, after which all machines were painted in Berends colours.
